Labor Candidate for Maranoa is ready to fight for the bush, and wants your help to get a fair go.

Labor Battle, not so Little

The Australian Labor Party has today endorsed Linda Little, as the Labor candidate for Maranoa in the forthcoming federal election.

Linda joins Bill Shorten’s Labor team, ready to take the fight up to Scott Morrison’s LNP in the pivotal battleground of Queensland.

Linda lives in Blackbutt on her farm with her husband Phil and her two foster children. She has extensive experience in small business, farming, and retail.

Ms Little said that she would hit the ground running using her small business and farming experience to be a strong voice for our region.

“The only thing Scott Morrison and David Littleproud have delivered for our region is cuts and chaos.”

“They have cut thousands from local hospitals and schools, and supported cuts to penalty rates.”

“My years’ experience on the land and within our community working on  the frontline alongside locals in our area has best prepared me to understand the real issues facing our community. I know how tough it can be for workers to find secure work in our region,” said Mrs Little.

“We get plenty of lip service from the LNP, but I’m 100 per cent committed to properly funding our region’s schools and healthcare services, and creating more local jobs.”

Federal Labor Leader, Bill Shorten, welcomed Linda Little to his team.

“I’m pleased to welcome Linda Little to the Labor team.

“Linda is a community champion, her work serving the local community means she understands how important it is to deliver quality and affordable healthcare and education.

“It’s people like Linda that we need advocating for good, secure jobs” said Mr Shorten.

ALP Queensland State Secretary Julie-Ann Campbell said Linda Little has the community experience and compassion needed to finally get a fair go from Canberra.

“The people of Maranoa need a representative intent on getting the job done for locals, not one fixated on the top job in Canberra,” Ms Campbell said.

“Linda Little has the grass roots experience and local understanding to be an outstanding local member.”
